Is Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) devices my only option for treating OSA? What other options exist?

Treatment options

There are several options for OSA treatment. CPAP is well studied and proven for people with mild, moderate, and severe OSA.

Oral appliance therapy is another well studied and proven option. CPAP and OAT have been shown to be equally effective for mild and moderate OSA.

Surgical options exist, but are generally considered only when CPAP and OAT have not been effective.

Lifestyle changes such as avoiding alcohol or sedative drugs at bedtime and weight loss, if overweight, are used in conjunction with the other OSA treatment options.

Consulting with qualified medical professional is highly recommended to find the best solution based on your individual, medical situation.
